American Sport Education Program

American Sport Education Program (ASEP) has downloadable resources for coaches and parents. For ASEP the question no longer is "Should coaches be trained?" but "How should coaches be trained?" ASEP has been offering the answer to this question since 1981 through the development and implementation of coaching education courses and resources. ASEP materials have been used to educate more than one million coaches, officials, sport administrators, and parents over the past 20-plus years. You can find a link to ASEP's website on the Coaches page of the CYO Athletics website by clicking here.

Volleyball Coaches Clinics - Beginner and Advanced

There are two FREE coaches clinics available for CYO volleyball coaches.

The first clinic, for Beginner coaches will be this Saturday, February 6th at St. Matthew in Seattle, from 9:00am to noon. This Clinic is led by Head Volleyball Commissioner Paula Lavallee, and is highly recommended for all first time CYO volleyball coaches.

The second clinic is the more Advanced clinic, and will take place Monday, February 8th at St. Catherine in Seattle, from 7:00 to 9:00pm. This clinic is led by the Seattle University Head Volleyball coach, Shannon Ellis, and is recommended for all CYO volleyball coaches.

Each year, coaches ask if they can go to both, and YES this is a great way to get some of the basics, as well as some of the more advanced coaching skills.
